From here, our practitioners will create tailored exercise programs that are constantly modified and progressed to match the client’s needs. When ready, each client will have the option to progress into our Physio led Clinical Exercise Classes. These classes will be limited to 4 clients per class and are claimable on private health.

Physiotherapy FAQ
Do I Need a Doctor’s Referral For Physiotherapy?
No, physiotherapists are classed as primary health care providers or first contact practitioners so a referral is not required for your Physiotherapist to assess and treat you.
However, if you are seeking rebateable allied health services through Medicare under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Medicare items then you will require a referral from your GP.
Is Physio Appropriate For My Condition?
Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession that assesses, diagnoses, treats, and works to prevent injury and disability through physical means.
Physiotherapists are highly trained in the anatomy, physiology and biomechanics of the human body and use evidence based assessment and treatment techniques to overcome injury, pain and disability, acquired through accidents, sport, ageing or life-changing events.
Physiotherapy can help recover from injury, reduce pain and stiffness, and increase mobility. A physiotherapist can also help you prevent further injury by listening to your needs and working with you to plan the most appropriate treatment for your condition, including setting goals and treatment outcomes.
Physiotherapy treatment is used for a variety of conditions including, but not limited to:
- Sport Injuries
- Spinal Pain
- Post-Operative Rehabilitation
- Joint or Bone Conditions
- Muscle or Tendon Injuries
- Department of Veteran Affairs
- High Performance Athlete Screening and Assessment
- Work Cover Queensland
- Running Assessment and Rehabilitation
What Should I Wear To My Physio Appointment?
You should wear appropriate clothing that is easy to be removed so the treatment area can be assessed comprehensively. You will be appropriately and modestly covered/draped if required, depending on the treatment area (eg: loose fitting active wear, shorts, singlets).
Please bring shoes if you have any running or foot -related issues.
Do I Need To Bring Anything When I See The Physio?
You could bring any X-Ray, MRI, Ultrasound, CT scans that you have and also any referral and insurance claim details if relevant (if you have been referred or on a claim).
How Many Physio Treatments Will I Need?
This will depend on your injury, your medical and physical condition, and what you need to return to your sport or individual goals.
Your Physiotherapist will be able to give you an idea of the number of visits and a likely time frame after your assessment.
